Alpine, NJ - Members of the Alpine Fire Department conducted a training exercise focused on deploying the department’s large-diameter yard manifold, a critical piece of equipment used to support firefighting operations in areas with long driveways and deep residential setbacks.

During the drill, firefighters practiced establishing a water distribution point capable of delivering large volumes of water and supplying multiple handlines simultaneously from a single strategic location.

The training was designed to enhance operational efficiency and ensure crews are prepared to meet the unique challenges posed by some of Alpine’s larger properties.

Regular hands-on training helps firefighters maintain proficiency with specialized equipment and tactics used during emergency incidents.
