WASHINGTON, NJ — June 13th — Firefighters from the Washington Borough Fire Department and members of the Washington Township Fire Department in Warren County participated in Man vs. Machine training led by P.L. Vulcan Fire Training Concepts LLC. The practical session concentrated on methods for rescuing people who are impaled by objects or stuck in equipment, situations that can happen at construction, industrial, and agricultural sites.

While collaborating with nearby responders, firefighters received training in stabilization, patient access, and extrication techniques. A Norfolk Southern Safety First Grant provided funding for the training, which strengthened coordination, preparedness, and technical rescue skills for future disaster responses while also offering advanced rescue education.
