Garden City, GA - Garden City Fire Rescue crews responded to a non-emergency request for a kitten trapped in a storm drain. Engine 201 arrived on scene and located the kitten approximately six feet underground inside a PVC pipe.

Firefighters developed a rescue plan and utilized rope techniques, allowing the kitten to secure itself while crews carefully lifted it to the surface. The operation was completed without injury.

The kitten was successfully reunited with its mother and is being cared for.
