Tybee Island, GA - Tybee Island Fire Rescue and the Tybee Island Police Department conducted a joint rescue operation to assist a baby green heron that had become separated from its nest.
Crews utilized a ladder to access the nesting area while police personnel assisted with scene support, stabilization, and lighting. Firefighters carefully handled the bird and successfully returned it to its nest without injury.
The operation was completed safely through coordinated efforts between both agencies.
