Jacksonville, FL - JFRD personnel participated in a large-scale active assailant exercise, training alongside law enforcement as part of Rescue Task Forces. Firefighters operated in ballistic gear while practicing coordinated entry into simulated high-threat environments to reach and treat injured victims.
The exercise focused on rapid patient care, coordinated movement to safety, and communication between agencies.
JFRD’s Emergency Preparedness Division assisted in developing the scenario to test response plans and enhance operational readiness for complex, high-risk incidents.
