Members of the Branford Fire Department celebrated Branford High School seniors on their graduation on June 11. Lillian, Berrin, Ryan, and Matthew, recent department interns, received particular honors.

According to officials, the students have been taking part in the Branford High School Senior Internship Program for the past five weeks, giving them first-hand experience with fire and emergency medical services. The interns gained knowledge of emergency response, firefighter training, fire prevention initiatives, and the day-to-day duties of community service while they were employed by the department.

Throughout the program, the students' excitement, excellent attitudes, and willingness to learn were commended by department members.
