WAITSFIELD, VT. — June 10th — A training session on hydrant operations, pumping techniques, and water supply management was attended by members of the Waitsfield-Fayston Fire Department. In order to provide steady water flow during emergency situations, firefighters mastered the correct methods for connecting equipment to hydrants and running truck pumps.


Additionally, crews practiced with various nozzle designs and streams utilized on the fireground and worked with hose lines. Regular training is a crucial component of disaster preparedness since dependable water supply and pump operations are essential to firefighting operations. Members' abilities to support safe and efficient fire suppression operations across the community were strengthened by the practical exercise.
