WESTERLY, RI — May 30th — A Fire Education and Training Consortium Officer Development Program with an emphasis on leadership and career advancement was attended by members of the Dunn's Corners Fire Department. The discussion focused on the duties of fire officers in the station and on the fireground, including communication, accountability, operational readiness, and setting an example. Additionally, participants engaged in breakout exercises that covered handling difficult conversations, identifying risky behaviors, and working in difficult situations.

The department, which is situated at 1 Langworthy Road, frequently provides its members with opportunities for continuing education. In addition to strengthening leadership abilities, the curriculum promoted teamwork, safe operations, and efficient decision-making.
