Bristol, R.I. — July 5 — Engine 4, Rescue 2, Chief 6, and Chief 1 of the Bristol Fire Department arrived at a residential structure fire in Tiverton to offer mutual aid support. In order to support fire suppression, incident command, and overhaul operations, Bristol crews joined Tiverton firemen and nearby departments. Each responding town was able to sustain emergency coverage and sufficient staffing thanks to mutual aid resources.

During the response, there were no reported injuries to Bristol personnel. The event highlighted the importance of Rhode Island's long-standing mutual aid system, which enables departments to exchange staff, equipment, and resources during major emergencies while also protecting the communities they serve on a daily basis.
