Charlestown Firefighters Participated in Regional Training Exercise

CHARLESTOWN, RI — May 31st — At the Union Fire District training grounds, Charlestown Fire District members took part in a training exercise that focused on victim rescue and fire suppression. Firefighters were able to practice vital fireground skills, such as coordinated suppression efforts, search tactics, and victim removal procedures, during the practical session. In order to improve mutual aid ties and operational coordination, personnel from the Charlestown-Richmond Fire Department and the Cross' Mills Fire Department also participated in the practice.


The Charlestown Fire District, which is situated at 4377 South County Trail, frequently participates in training programs to preserve preparedness and enhance response skills. The exercise reaffirmed the importance of continuing professional growth and teamwork in the fire service.
