EDGARTOWN, MA — June 5th — FF/EMT Graham Lewis was honored by the Edgartown Fire Department for finishing the Pro EMS paramedic program, which was a major turning point in his emergency medical career. Classroom education, hospital clinical rotations, and paramedic ambulance field training were all part of the program. Advanced training in patient assessment, treatment, and emergency medical care was made possible by these experiences.
Lewis finished the program while still working the department's weekend shifts. Paramedics are essential to emergency response systems and are educated to deliver advanced life-saving care. The National Registry Paramedic certification exam is his next step. His commitment to training, professional development, and community involvement was commended by department officials.
