Boston Firefighter Robert "Bobby" Kilduff Jr. passed away while performing his duties, and members of the Bedford Fire Department Honor Guard attended his funeral on June 1.

Honor Guard members gathered firefighters from all around the area to honor Kilduff's life, service, and dedication to defending others, according to officials. The ceremony honored a firefighter who gave his life while serving his town and demonstrated the close ties that exist throughout the fire service.

The Boston Fire Department, Kilduff's family, and friends received condolences from the department.
