STATESBORO, GA — May 25th — The Bulloch County Fire Department honored the men and women who lost their lives while serving in the US military on Memorial Day in 2026. The department, which has its headquarters at 17245 U.S. Highway 301 North, urged locals to honor those who never came home from service and to keep in mind the holiday's real meaning. The families and loved ones impacted by such losses were also honored by officials.

The government emphasized the need of pausing to consider the sacrifices made by fallen service members, even though many people spent the holiday weekend with friends and family. The celebration acted as a reminder of the virtues of responsibility, devotion, and dedication to others.
