South Gulf Fire Rescue Members Completed Intensive Training Drill

PORT ST. JOE, FL — May 16th — Members of South Gulf Fire Rescue took part in a practical training session aimed at improving emergency response and fireground operations. Pre-planning, incident command, size-up techniques, situational awareness, fire attack line deployment, hydraulics, pump pressures, relay pumping, aerial ladder operations, apparatus placement, and tool use were all addressed in the practice.


Firefighters received complete bunker gear training while learning how to handle emergencies such as structural fires. According to department representatives, the meeting reaffirmed the value of cooperation, training, and trust. Frequent training keeps staff members proficient with tools and protocols, guaranteeing that they are always ready to offer efficient fire defense across the South Gulf Fire Rescue region.
