Cornelia Fire Department Responded to 120 Incidents in April

According to the department's monthly statistics, the Cornelia Fire Department responded to 120 occurrences in April 2026.


During the month, officials recorded 84 EMS occurrences and 36 fire-related calls. Six car accidents, six assist-public or lift-assist calls, four brush, grass, or forests fires, three gas leak or hazardous material occurrences, three smoke or odor investigations, and one vehicle fire were among the fire calls. Alarm activations, water leaks, unapproved fires, and public education initiatives were also managed by the crews.


In addition to welfare checks, alarm activations, walk-in patients, and canceled calls, 74 medical crises were handled by firemen and medics on the EMS side.
