Joint Training with U.S. Army Strengthens Technical Rescue Operations

Savannah, GA - Savannah Fire Department Special Operations personnel, along with Rescue 2 and Truck 5 crews, conducted joint forcible entry and technical rope training with the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment at the department’s training center.


The hands-on training focused on coordinated rescue operations, casualty response, and rapid decision-making in realistic, high-pressure scenarios. Crews worked together to refine techniques, improve communication, and enhance operational efficiency during complex incidents.


This joint training strengthens interagency coordination and ensures a higher level of readiness when responding to technical rescue emergencies.
