Braxton College led a three-day vehicle extrication training program at the LaBelle Fire Department from May 18–20.

Firefighters took part in practical drills intended to improve their rescue abilities, pick up new skills, and practice handling actual emergency situations. According to department officials, the training's main goal was to increase readiness for situations in which quick vehicle extrication may be essential to saving lives.

In order to maintain safe and efficient emergency response capabilities, the department stressed the significance of ongoing education and hands-on training. The Hendry County Recreation Board and Tim's Towing were also acknowledged by the officials for their support of the event and for making the training possible.
