After 26 years of service to the department and community, Assistant Chief David White of the LaBelle Fire Department announced his retirement on May 10.

Department officials acknowledged White's influence on the organization and those who worked with him, and they commended him for his leadership, devotion, and commitment throughout his career. White contributed to the safety and well-being of locals while supporting the department's objective for more than 20 years.
