International Firefighters' Day Observed in Hope

HOPE, N.J. — May 4th — In honor of International Firefighters' Day, the Hope Volunteer Fire Department's Station 38 Fire honored the contributions of firefighters who have served in the past, those who are presently defending their communities, and aspiring firefighters. International firemen' Day, which is celebrated on May 4th every year, honors firemen worldwide and recognizes their dedication to public safety. The celebration also emphasizes how crucial service, readiness, and training are to the emergency response community.


As they considered the role firefighters play in supporting and safeguarding their communities on a daily basis, department members joined firefighters throughout the world in honoring the profession's longstanding heritage of service.
