Eatontown Fire Department Recognizes International Firefighters’ Day

EATONTOWN, N.J. — May 4th — The Eatontown Fire Department observed International Firefighters' Day, a day honoring the dedication and service of firefighters, together with fire departments across the globe. Every year on May 4th, the celebration honors firemen who save lives and property and pays tribute to those who have lost their lives while performing their duties. The date falls on the feast day of firefighters' patron saint, St. Florian.


The agency expressed gratitude to firefighters for their ongoing commitment to their communities. The emergency services community can also take advantage of International Firefighters' Day to consider the customs, duties, and continuous dedication to public safety of the profession.
