Tivoli Fire Department Marked International Firefighters’ Day

TIVOLI, N.Y. — May 4th — The Tivoli Fire Department observed International Firefighters' Day alongside fire service groups worldwide. The department, which is based at 2 Tivoli Commons, recognized the commitment of volunteer and professional firemen who respond to crises, promote public safety, and assist their communities all year long. Firefighters devote numerous hours to training, equipment maintenance, fire prevention initiatives, and community event assistance in addition to emergency response.


Additionally, the event offers a chance to honor firefighters who have died while performing their duties and to honor the contributions of those who are still on duty. Department representatives thanked firefighters nationwide and emphasized the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork that keep the fire department strong.
