Tivoli Fire Department Showcased Historic 1957 Maxim

TIVOLI, N.Y. — May 2nd — The Firefighting Museum of Dutchess County hosted the Rhinebeck automobile show, where the Tivoli Fire Department displayed its iconic 1957 Maxim fire engine. The equipment, which is still entirely original, demonstrated the department's dedication to conserving the heritage of the local fire service. The truck, which is almost 70 years old, nonetheless serves as a reminder of previous firefighting tools and techniques.


Department representatives expressed gratitude to 2nd Lieutenant Justin Cella and Captain Aidan Miller for detailing and preparing the vehicle for the occasion. In addition to educating the public, historic apparatus displays pay tribute to the firemen and equipment that have served communities for generations. The Maxim is still an important part of the history of the Tivoli Fire Department.
