On May 25th, members of the Budd Lake Volunteer Fire Department joined communities across the nation in observing Memorial Day and honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to the country.

Department representatives considered the sacrifices made by dead soldiers and acknowledged their roles in defending the liberties that Americans currently enjoy. Members expressed their admiration for those who responded to the call to duty and ultimately gave their lives as first responders.
