Fairfield Firefighters Complete Three-Day Trench Rescue Course

Members of the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department took part in a three-day Trench Rescue Operations school with firemen from nearby West Essex departments during the third week of May.


According to officials, the training, which was organized by Rescue Products International, concentrated on coordinated rescue operations, scene safety, stabilization techniques, and trench rescue tactics. In order to prepare responders for challenging rescue situations involving trench collapses and confined work areas, participants undertook practical exercises.


According to department commanders, options for specialized training assist guarantee that firemen are ready for a wide range of emergency scenarios.
