VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Volusia County Fire Rescue held a HazMat Technician class in conjunction with Deltona Fire Rescue. We had eight of our firefighters in attendance (Krall, Alexander, Hernandez, F. Watkins, Woody, Cullinane, Winford, and Warden). To begin the technician class, all firefighters were required to complete 100 hours of online training preparing them for the 60 hours of hands-on training at Deltona Station 65. The hands-on portion of the class will conclude Saturday. We can’t be happier with their success in completing this grueling course and becoming HazMat Technicians.
