On May 18th, members of Andover Emergency Services laid 72 flags on the graves of past members of the Citizens Fire Company, Andover Fire Department, East Andover Fire Department, and Andover Rescue Squad.

The yearly homage, according to officials, commemorates slain firemen and EMS personnel for their contributions to the community and the country. The purpose of the ceremony is to honor former members and acknowledge their commitment to public service.

Jeffrey Miller, an EMS member, was also acknowledged by the department for his diligent work in maintaining an accurate list of historical individuals by examining department records and collaborating with both present and former members.
