Members of Amherst Fire and EMS joined communities around the country on May 25th to commemorate Memorial Day and pay tribute to the men and women who lost their lives while serving in the US military.

Memorial Day, according to department officials, is a time to honor those who answered the call to serve their country and never made it back to their communities, families, or friends. personnel considered the bravery, selflessness, and commitment of fallen service personnel whose work contributed to the defense of the country's liberties.
