Department Honors EMS Personnel for Service and Dedication

NEWBURGH, ME — May 18th — During National EMS Week, Department Newburgh Fire and Rescue honored its EMS staff, emphasizing the critical role they perform in community service. The agency stated that its modest crew of emergency medical professionals continues to play a crucial role in day-to-day operations and supports a variety of crises. National EMS Week is observed each year to recognize the contributions of emergency medical professionals across the country.


Additionally, the department expressed sympathy for responders and families impacted by recent incidents in Maine and highlighted the difficulties experienced by first responders. Chief Somers, Craig Stecher, Ed Gardella, Alex Demers, Josh Martin, Ben Buckley, and Craig Pedersen were among those honored. They were thanked by the department for their commitment, education, and assistance.
