Montpelier Crews Trained on Advanced Vehicle Stabilization Techniques

MONTPELIER, VT — April 29th — Following the addition of Res-Q-Jacks to the department's emergency response apparatus, members of Department Montpelier Fire Local 2287 recently finished two days of training. Firefighters had the chance to practice using the new instruments in actual rescue situations during the practical sessions, which concentrated on vehicle stabilization after auto accidents. The fire service frequently uses Res-Q-Jacks to stabilize cars and other unstable objects, enhancing patient and responder safety.


According to department authorities, there are numerous additional emergency scenarios in which the technology can be utilized. The department expressed gratitude to Kevin O'Brien of Firematic Tools for providing the tools, instruction, and assistance. Additionally, the Bolduc Metal Recycling & Storage Containers crew and Jamie and Cam Bolduc were thanked for supplying trucks and a training site.
