Ridgewood, NJ - Members of A Platoon from the Ridgewood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 47 took time this week at their firehouse in Ridgewood, New Jersey to focus on the fundamentals that make a difference on the fireground.

Using the apparatus bay, firefighters drilled on rapidly donning their facemasks and helmets while preparing to initiate operations without delay. These repetitive skills—though simple on the surface—are critical when seconds count during an emergency.

By reinforcing muscle memory through consistent training, crews ensure they can perform efficiently and effectively under pressure, minimizing delays and maximizing readiness when the call comes.
