Caribou, ME - Members of the Caribou Fire & Ambulance Department recently supported the final live burn evolutions for the Caribou Technology Center Fire Science program.
High school students from surrounding communities participated in Class A and Class B live burns, along with a motor vehicle fire scenario, demonstrating the skills and knowledge they developed throughout the year.
Firefighter/EMT Matt Russell and Firefighter/Paramedic Kenny O’Bar volunteered their time throughout the program to provide hands-on instruction and mentorship.
Following completion of the burns, students will move on to Pro Board Firefighter I & II certification exams, an important step toward future careers in the fire service.
