Following departmental training exercises, personnel of the City of Newport Fire Department finished testing Engine 3 and upgrading its equipment on May 20.

Before doing flow testing to record the proper working settings for various flow rates, firefighters put a new monitor on the device, according to officials. Crews were able to confirm equipment functionality and make sure it was still prepared for emergency operations thanks to the testing procedure.
