LINCOLN, Maine — April 30th — During a department-wide training event, Lincoln Fire Department personnel reviewed vehicle extrication techniques and trauma treatment throughout the day. Medical Director Dr. Dave Saquet of Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center gave a trauma review to kick off the training for firefighters and EMS staff from the department at 1 Adams St. Later, crews practiced practical extrication exercises that covered patient access, vehicle stabilization, and the use of rescue tools in auto accidents.
Regular training, according to department officials, enhances coordination between fire and EMS workers during emergency situations and helps maintain readiness. The department also acknowledged that community collaborations boost emergency services training efforts and thanked Robinsons Towing for providing training space and donating vehicles used during the simulations.
