The city of Northampton recently exchanged Tower 1, a 2003 E-One Cyclone II 95' Tower, for a standard ladder truck. Unlike the previous apparatus, the new "Truck 1", a 2023 Pierce Arrow 100' rear mount, has no pump or tank. The Northampton Fire Department uses firefighters from other units to staff their aerial on demand.
