As part of National EMS Week, the Fire Department of the City of New York Community Affairs, in collaboration with Graham Windham and the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development, held the inaugural EMS Community Day in Manhattan on May 21.

More than 150 young people took part in practical instructional exercises supervised by FDNY members, including instruction in CPR, first aid, Stop the Bleed, and fire safety, according to officials. Attendees learned about health, safety, and the role EMS workers play in safeguarding New Yorkers from members of the department.
