READING, Vt. — May 14th — A firemen Appreciation Supper was held at the Elks Club in Windsor by Reading VT Volunteer Fire & Rescue, which brought together firemen, local leaders, and nearby departments for an evening of appreciation and camaraderie. Members of the Reading Selectboard and officers from the Windsor, West Windsor, and Weathersfield fire departments were among the attendees. Chief Vittum gave department employees length-of-service certificates during the occasion to honor their commitment to community service and emergency response.

Experienced members continue to support training, operations, and mutual aid responses throughout the region, which is crucial for volunteer fire departments in Vermont. Additionally, department officials expressed gratitude to the Elks Club for supplying the dinner and helping out the local emergency services and firefighters.
