WOONSOCKET, R.I. — 22nd May — Members of the Department Woonsocket, RI Firefighters were recognized during National EMS Week with lunch and treats provided by Landmark Medical Center and Kay’s Restaurant. As part of ongoing EMS Week gratitude activities honoring emergency responders nationwide, the meal was provided to department staff. Sandwiches and refreshments from the local restaurant were provided to firefighters and EMS personnel serving the Woonsocket community.

National EMS Week highlights the work of EMS providers, firefighters, dispatchers, and hospital staff involved in emergency medical care and public safety response. Landmark Medical Center regularly works with local fire and EMS agencies throughout northern Rhode Island to coordinate patient care and emergency operations within the region.
