SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. — 16th May — At the Union Fire District burn building in South Kingstown, members of the Dunn's Corners Fire Department, which is situated at 1 Langworthy Road in Westerly, took part in live fire training. During the session, firefighters worked on several core fireground skills under controlled live fire conditions. Crews practiced hose advancement, search procedures, ventilation, communication, and interior operations designed to improve readiness for emergency incidents.

The burn building is regularly used by departments throughout southern Rhode Island for hands-on firefighter training and coordinated drills. According to department officials, the training reinforced collaboration, safety protocols, and operational abilities utilized during structure fire responses around the region while giving participants invaluable experience in real-world scenarios.
