Guilderland, NY - Guilderland Fire Department’s newest members continue progressing toward their New York State Interior Firefighter Certification through intensive hands-on training and skill development.

Firefighters participated in a range of evolutions including search and rescue drills, SCBA proficiency work, and team-based scenarios designed to build performance under pressure. The training emphasizes coordination, communication, and safe, effective operations in low-visibility and high-stress environments.

Each evolution challenges members to strengthen both individual capability and crew-based decision-making, ensuring they are prepared for the demands of interior fire operations.
