Binghamton, NY - The Binghamton Fire Department Recruit Class of 2026 has completed a major milestone in their academy training with live fire evolutions at the Town of Binghamton’s live burn facility.

This hands-on training provided recruits the opportunity to apply foundational firefighting skills in a realistic, controlled environment, reinforcing techniques developed throughout their academy instruction as they move closer to graduation.

Active members of the Binghamton Fire Department assisted throughout the evolutions, offering guidance, support, and operational experience to help shape the next generation of firefighters.

The department extends its appreciation to all members who participated, as well as to the Town of Binghamton for providing access to the training facility and supporting this essential training opportunity.
