Masonville Fire Department Marks 80 Years of Service

MASONVILLE, N.Y. — April 29th — In 2026, the Masonville Volunteer Fire Department will commemorate eight decades of volunteer firefighting and emergency response since its founding in 1946. The department, which is situated at 15488 State Highway 8, has been offering emergency services, mutual aid support, and fire protection to the nearby rural community for many years. According to officials, the anniversary honors the commitment of both current and former members as well as the ongoing assistance of nearby departments and locals.


In Delaware County, volunteer fire departments are still crucial to community activities, emergency response, and training. Members of the department expressed gratitude to those who have supported the agency's activities and long-standing service heritage.
