FRANKLIN, N.Y. — May 10th — In advance of the Mother's Day holiday weekend, Department Franklin Fire & Rescue honored moms, grandmothers, and caregivers around the community. The department, which has its headquarters at 351 Main Street in Franklin, expressed gratitude to families for their ongoing support of Delaware County's firefighters and emergency personnel. As volunteers respond to emergencies, attend training, and take part in community events all year long, officials pointed out that volunteer departments frequently rely on strong family support.

The crucial role families play in assisting emergency operations and public safety initiatives behind the scenes is frequently acknowledged by fire service groups around the region. While recognizing the daily contributions mothers and caregivers make to their homes and communities, department staff also urged residents to have a safe holiday weekend.
