Meadville Crews Focus on Vehicle Rescue Training

MEADVILLE, Pa. — April 28th — During their weekly work night, members of Department West Mead #1 Volunteer Fire Company reviewed rescue tools and equipment frequently utilized in auto accidents. Before concentrating on tool operations, inspection protocols, cleaning techniques, and return-to-service procedures after emergency situations, firefighters finished routine equipment checks. Work evenings focused on equipment knowledge, according to officials, support firefighter safety and operational preparedness.


West Mead #2 Volunteer Fire Department, Vernon Central Hose, Greenwood Fire & Rescue Dept. 40, and Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Department were among the mutual aid partners with whom Department West Mead #1 Volunteer Fire Company, situated at 10482 Liberty St. in Meadville, recently received training. According to fire authorities, ongoing regional training improves reaction and coordination throughout Crawford County.
