MEADVILLE, Pa. — May 10th — In advance of Mother's Day weekend, the West Mead #2 Volunteer Fire Department honored moms, grandmothers, stepmothers, and other mother figures in the community. In a public statement, the department, which is situated at 20607 Ryan Road in Meadville, thanked families for their ongoing support of emergency personnel, including firemen. Volunteer fire departments frequently rely on strong family support, according to officials, as members juggle training, community service, and emergency calls all year long.

Crawford County fire stations frequently acknowledge the support that families provide to emergency operations and public safety initiatives in the background. Members of the department also acknowledged the achievements made by women in the community and wished citizens a safe and joyful holiday weekend.
