Members of the Finderne Fire Department took part in a hectic day of emergency responses and community events on May 2.

According to officials, members convened for a department appreciation dinner at the Stone Tavern later that evening after crews attended a public relations event at Old Navy in the morning.

A standby crew handled a fireworks detail at TD Bank Ballpark and responded to two alarms while the dinner was in progress. For helping with coverage during the fireworks assignment, the department expressed gratitude to the North Branch Fire Department.
