East Hartford Welcomes Two New Firefighters After Academy Graduation

East Hartford, CT - The East Hartford Fire Department proudly celebrated the graduation of Christopher Daly and Tyler Elliott from the Connecticut Fire Academy Recruit Training Program. As members of Recruit Class #77, both graduates officially begin their probationary period with the department as they prepare for careers in public safety and emergency response.
During probation, Daly and Elliott will continue their development through department-specific fire training and paramedic field training, building the skills needed to serve the East Hartford community with professionalism and dedication.
The department also extended congratulations to every graduate of Recruit Class #77, recognizing the hard work, discipline, and commitment required to complete the rigorous academy program. Officials wished all recruits success as they begin their firefighting careers across the state.
East Hartford Fire Department also expressed special appreciation for the Hero to Hero program, which helps military veterans transition into civilian careers through education and public safety training opportunities. The program continues to create pathways for former service members to bring their leadership and experience into fire service careers.
Tyler Elliott entered the academy through the Hero to Hero program and proudly graduated as a member of the East Hartford Fire Department, continuing the department’s strong connection with veterans entering public service.
Congratulations were once again shared with all graduates as they begin the next step in their firefighting journey.
