MANHASSET-LAKEVILLE, N.Y. — 26th April — As part of its ongoing equipment modernization effort, the Manhasset-Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department recently put new Engine 8725 into frontline service. Engine 8725, a 2024 KME pumper, was built as a twin unit to Engine 8752, which presently works with Company 5, according to officials. The district's emergency response, rescue, and fire suppression operations will be supported by the new equipment.
According to department officials, modern tools and equipment are still crucial for firefighter safety, operational preparedness, and effective emergency response. When there is a fire or other emergency in the Manhasset-Lakeville community or other mutual aid regions, Engine 8725 is expected to respond with other department units.
