MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. — 15th May — Before Ambulance 639 is put back into service, representatives from the Massapequa Fire Department, which is based at 1 Brooklyn Ave. in Massapequa, NY, United States, 11758, recently visited to Huntsville, Alabama, to examine the remount. The original 2003 Ford ambulance was completely remounted, according to officials, which involved disassembling and reassembling the ambulance box before mounting it on a new chassis.
Department officials pointed out that the work was finished by a family-run business that paid great attention to maintaining crucial aspects throughout the reconstruction. Additionally, according to officials, the business kept a memorial sticker in honor of NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller. It is anticipated that Ambulance 639 will resume providing front-line emergency medical services to the Massapequa neighborhood.
