NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. — 14th May — The Nassau County Fire Police EMS Academy recently took part in advanced rescue and medical training exercises with emergency service personnel from national and international partner agencies at the FDNY Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium (SRFM). According to officials, the symposium's main topics included emergency coordination, field medical, search and rescue operations, and response strategies for both specialized rescue scenarios and large-scale events.

Along with firefighters, emergency medical services, and rescue experts from other agencies, members of the Nassau County Office of the Fire Marshal also took part. According to department officials, the training offered a chance to improve interagency collaboration and go over rescue and medical protocols in actual operating conditions that emergency responders frequently encounter.
