Fire Commissioners Recognize 50 Years of Dedicated Service

NORTH MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. — 7th May — Ex-Chief Vincent Kehoe was recently honored by the North Massapequa Fire Department, which is situated at 1000 N Broadway in North Massapequa, NY, USA, 11758, for more than 50 years of service to the department and the community. After enlisting in Friendship Engine Company 3, Kehoe rose through the ranks to become a lieutenant, captain, assistant chief, and then chief of department from 1986 to 1988.


According to department officials, his leadership and commitment to emergency response operations won him the respect of his fellow firefighters. Kehoe supported countywide fire department operations while serving with Nassau County Fire Communications in addition to his voluntary work. His decades of dedication and leadership within the department and the Nassau County fire service community were recognized, according to fire commissioners.
